Special Ops Season 2 Review: Everyone has seen the game of Spy Universe on the big screen – Pathan, Tiger, War… but the real spy smell comes when it comes to Special Ops. Created by Neeraj Pandey, the spy thriller is now back with season 2, and this time it’s a fight between humans and artificial intelligence.
Special Ops Season 2 Review: Real Spy World is back, this time with a twist of AI!
7 Episodes, 6.5 Hours, And A Great Spy Drama.
Special Ops Season 2 has been released. No wait, no hassle of part 2. This series of 7 episodes is about 6.5 hours, and once started, it will be difficult to stop. The story is tight, fast, and descends into straightforward veins.

This time Himmat Singh is in front of the ‘Collector’
The hero of every story shines as much as the villain. This time there is a mysterious enemy – the collector. His hobby is to collect whatever he likes. But this time he has stolen a scientist, who is called the right hand of the PM.
AI vs RAW Agent – The beginning of the high-tech war
This time the enemy is not a nuclear bomb, but an AI system that speaks, thinks, and moves like a human. The scientist’s AI is giving speeches by fooling the whole country, and the real scientist is hidden behind the curtain.
Now Himmat Singh has to save not only the scientist, but also his daughter – who learns a dangerous truth.
K. K. Menon = John of this series
When Kay Kay Menon aka Himmat Singh comes on screen, the show comes to life. His every dialogue, every reaction gives goosebumps to the audience. But as soon as the camera moves towards the rest of the actors, the heat cools down. Especially the way a strong character like Collector has been shown in a short time and in a light manner – it disappoints a little.
There are four layers to the story: Every mission is a new challenge.
- Bringing back the scientist
- Saving the country from your Guru
- Catching the traitor
- Keeping the daughter safe
These four missions run simultaneously, so the pace of the series never feels slow.
Negative aspects (cons)
- Some extra characters don’t have any special effect
- Villains such as the Collector were dealt with in haste
- Emotional angles (family) did not seem to be very effective
- Dialogues and screen time fade away from Kay Kay Menon
Final Verdict: 3/5 stars
Positives Negatives
- Kay Kay Menon’s performance is weak supporting characters
- A new twist in RAW vs. AI
- The collector’s lack of backstory emotions
Special Ops 2 isn’t perfect, but it isn’t boring either. If you are a fan of spy thrillers, AI, and political mysteries, then these 6 hours are worth it – Especially for Himmat Singh.
