The Electric State REVIEW: So I finally saw The Electric State Movie, and it’s no small film! Its budget is $320 million, which is about 2800 crores if converted into Indian currency. If you compare, the budget of Avengers: Endgame was $356 million, which means it is also a high-budget movie of the same level.

But a few days ago it was reported that this film got a rating of just 18% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is quite low. The film wasn’t liked by the critics. But I decided to watch it because I had more faith in Netflix, the Russo Brothers, and Chris Pratt.

So is the film really that bad, or did the critics downvote it too much? Let’s find out in this review.

The Electric State REVIEW

Story of the film

The story of this film is set in a parallel universe, where a different society of robots has also settled among humans. Initially, humans made them for their service, but gradually robots started demanding their rights. “We are not servants of humans, we also have the right to live! ”

This conflict leads to a terrible war between humans and robots, and in just one week, humans win. All the remaining robots are sent to a place called “Electric State,” which is spread over 1 lakh square miles.

But now our lead, Millie Bobby Brown h, has to go there for a special reason. They are joined by Chris Pratt and a robot. What happens there, and why these people are going, is the real mystery of this film.

Positive points of the film

  1. Visuals: The cinematography and CGI of the film are superb. The world full of technology has been shown very beautifully.
  2. Action Sequence – There are some intense and stylish action scenes in the film, which look good.
  3. Starring: Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. His screen presence makes the film a little more interesting.
  4. Family Friendly – This is a PG-13 movie, so it can be watched comfortably with the whole family.

Negative points of the film

  1. Weak storyline – Its biggest drawback is its simple story. There was nothing that was not shown to us before.
  2. Lack of Thrill – The film seems interesting in the beginning, but as soon as it has 55 minutes left, the film slowly starts to get boring.
  3. Character Development – The topic of robots vs humans in the film was very good, but it was not explored in depth.
  4. The budget doesn’t justify – despite being a $320 million (₹2,800 crores) film; there’s nothing extraordinary in its visuals and production value.

Final Verdict – To watch or not to watch?

If you like sci-fi and robot movies, you can definitely watch it once. But if you’re hoping for an innovative and mind-boggling story, you might be a little disappointed.
